Before any treatment
Roof Rejuvenation Assessment in New Port Richey
Before anything is sprayed, we go up and measure how far the asphalt has dried out — how the shingles bend, how much grit they have shed, how old they are — and come back down with a yes or no and a price.
What we measure on the roof
Asphalt shingles do not give out all at once. Heat drives the oil out of the asphalt, the shingle stiffens, and the granules that shield it start letting go, usually first on the slopes that take the most afternoon sun. An assessment pins down where your roof sits on that curve, and every finding points one of three ways — treat it, fix a few things first, or start planning for a new roof.
We gently flex a tab. A shingle that still gives has oil left to work with; one that snaps is past helping.
Bare patches, exposed asphalt and the amount of grit sitting in gutters and downspouts all tell part of the story.
Rough age, lifted or cracked tabs, popped nails and worn pipe boots all go into the call.
The three answers you can get
Treat it
The shingles still flex, the grit loss is moderate and nothing is letting water in. We price the shingle treatment on the spot.
Fix first, then treat
A few loose shingles, exposed nail heads or a cracked vent boot. Those go into a pre-treatment tune-up so the oil lands on a sound surface.
Call a roofer instead
Brittle tabs, wide bare areas, soft decking or a leak. Oil would be wasted on that roof, and you hear so before you spend anything.
How it works
How the visit runs
You call with the basics
Give us the roof's rough age and what made you pick up the phone.
We go up
On a dry day we walk the roof and look hardest at the sun-beaten slopes.
You hear what we found
The verdict is yes or no on treatment, backed by the shingle evidence that drove it, and priced on the spot when it is a yes.
You decide
Nobody pushes you to book on the spot; the answer stands either way.
Assessment questions
Is this the same as a home inspection?
No. It answers a narrower question — can these shingles still benefit from treatment? It is not a home-sale inspection, though it can help if a sale is coming, which is what our seller and buyer service covers.
What happens if the answer is no?
You hear why in plain terms. A roof past treating is better served by a roofer than by more oil.
Do you look at tile roofs too?
Yes. On concrete or clay tile the visit decides whether cleaning and sealing makes sense. The shingle oil treatment never goes on tile.
