Asphalt shingle rejuvenation
Asphalt Shingle Roof Rejuvenation in New Port Richey
A plant-oil treatment that soaks the lost oils back into dried-out asphalt shingles so they stay flexible and keep their grit — commonly another five to seven years from a roof that is still sound.
What the treatment does
An asphalt shingle holds its granules with the oils in the asphalt beneath. The Gulf sun bakes those oils off over the years, the asphalt hardens, and the grit loosens and rinses into the gutters. This treatment is a soy-based oil that soaks back in and firms the grip on the grit that is left, while restoring enough flexibility that the shingle bends in the heat instead of cracking. It is maintenance for a sound roof, not a repair for one that is already failing.
Which roofs it suits
Rejuvenation works on asphalt shingle roofs that are aging but still whole. A short roof check tells us for sure.
A good fit
- Asphalt shingles somewhere in their second decade
- No active leaks and sound decking underneath
- Shingles still lying flat, with fading and granule loss but no widespread cracks
Not a candidate
- Active leaks or soft, water-damaged decking
- Large areas of missing, curled or cracked shingles
- Tile, metal or flat roofs, which this treatment is not for
How it works
How the job runs
Roof check
We read flexibility, granule loss, age and any damage, and tell you plainly whether a treatment is worth doing.
Small fixes first
Any loose shingles, exposed nails or vent boots are flagged so the spray goes onto a sound surface.
Application
Once the weather is dry, the soy-based product is laid evenly over the shingles — usually a few hours.
Follow-up
You get a clear account of the work and a sense of when another treatment makes sense.
